Empowering Style. The Celebrity Wishmaker Simonetta Lein Meets PR Expert Sophie Bowman

09 Sep Empowering Style. The Celebrity Wishmaker Simonetta Lein Meets PR Expert Sophie Bowman

I am all about girl bosses. Women who do it all and don’t take no for an answer. This branding guru and PR expert, Sophie Bowman, owner of  Business Owner Society , is showing how business owners can actually help to reboot the economy after the Covid-19 crisis.

“Sophie is a multi-award-winning social media influencer who launched an online business a decade ago so she could travel the world and work from home in her pants. Recent awards include 2 MarCom awards for ‘Best Influencer for Local Businesses’ and a Stevie Award for PR Marketing Person of the Year from the American Business Awards.” says medium.com

Exited to have this woman here with me and to support her thriving.

Who are you and what is your blog about?

That Brit who started her creative agency online so that she could travel the world and work from home without pants. My new blog is BusinessOwnerSociety.com – it will be a one-stop-shop bursting with business tips, resources and support for business owners.

What’s the mission of your business?

We’re an online entrepreneur and business owner community. Think of us as your personal self-help and brainstorming group where members are encouraged to trade from within our community first to support one another’s’ hustle. It’s outdated to view similar services as purely competitors – a lot of entrepreneurs are missing out on a lot of business growth opportunities by being stingy with their contacts. There’s plenty of room for us all, and opportunities to make money together.

Are you a Millennial? What do you think about Millennials?

I suppose I am, but I’ve never really thought about it. Millennials are cool in the sense we’re at an age now where we’ve crafted our own style, and implement our own interpretations of current and upcoming trends with a few timeless accessories.

If you are here it means that you love fashion. Why?

Fashion is the most versatile, fast-paced industry in the world. I started my career heavily involved in fashion from London Fashion Week to branding and launching fashion labels and handling social media campaigns collaborating with major brands like Balmain.

Please show us your “Empowering Style”

My style is as ADHD as my entrepreneurial mind; it depends on my mood or goal for the day. If I break out the Freddy black leather pants, best believe some serious business is about to go down.

What cannot miss from your wardrobe?

My Freddy jeans and leather pants – I crave clothes which offer comfort and make you look and feel good. I’ve purchased so many items I’ve never worn because they don’t fit or feel right, so they just hang in my closest forever unworn.

Your favorite pair of shoes and why?

I love my Fashion Nova platform boots because they’re so high yet surprisingly comfortable. I’m also pretty obsessed with my Jimmy Choos but they’re not easy to walk in.

What cannot miss from your skin care?

I’m a skincare lunatic – I’ve probably spent thousands of dollars on products over the years trying to find the perfect anti-puffiness eye cream (does this even exist?) or products that don’t make my acne-prone skin breakout. I’m currently loving Korean skincare brand Dr.Oracle A-Thera cleansing foam for cystic and hormonal acne and Pixi Glo Tonic.

What is your style, and what can you not stand in people, inside and out?

My style changes as frequently as my mood, so it’s challenging to pick one style personality. I would say sophisticated sexy, if that’s a thing? – I wear figure-hugging clothes, but you’ll rarely see me showing too much flesh.

What is your fashion mantra?

Wear whatever works for your body shape and makes you feel good.

What is that magic word that speaks about you?

What is a wish that you would commit to grant this year to someone paying it

Promote their business or cause on my social media influencer account for free.

Onward for more dear Sophie, and thank you for being a doer and a giver.
