I gave birth to my fourth baby eleven days ago and this time around have had the opportunity to rest & recover much more as my husband is home on paternity leave.


It’s felt strange to allow myself sleep rather than launch into housework but I’ve been trying to treat myself like I would a friend and say “you deserve this”…funny how difficult it can be to say those two words. But it’s working & something I hope I can carry forward in life & also apply to how I cope with my post pregnancy body.
Today I found myself criticising my body for it’s odd post partum shape, I struggle to identify with this reflection but will keep working on self care & kindness & making friends with myself – mind & body.
