30 Dec Joy Trigger Countdown – #5 Gratitude
It’s only five weeks until Christmas and it’s a time of year that can be filled with joy but that also can cause stress and tension due to the pressure many of us feel to have a “perfect” time and for many can be a difficult time full stop. So over the next five weeks I’m going to share a joy trigger to focus on and help us feel good.
Number one is gratitude – yes we may be surrounded by messages of buy,buy,buy but the holiday is not about getting into debt or giving expensive gifts and if you find yourself stressing & panicking spend a few moments thinking about all in life there is to be grateful for. I find it particularly positive to write gratitude lists down in my joy journal. If at first you find it difficult to think of things imagine waking up tomorrow with only the things you said thank you for today- that always instantly makes my list longer!
