29 Nov Don’t Be Silent, Speak Up
There have been a slew of sexual assault allegations throughout the country recently. Politicians, entertainment executives and reporters have all been accused of sexual misconduct. Women and men have been abused and now have the courage to speak out against the things that happened to them.
Earlier this week legislators in California had a hearing on sexual assault. It started with an open letter from 140 women denouncing this pervasive culture on Capital Hill. My wish is that we continue this conversation. We have to teach by example and show the youth that this behavior cannot be tolerated. In turn, we can change the landscape by practicing what we preach.
