Change the world with my music

19 Jun Change the world with my music

Hi, I am Anastasia Richardson. My friend Melissa Laskin told me about your website. I’m 18 year old sing/songwriter. My dream’s to change the world with my music. With no money to market my music only word of month. My parent always told me with hard work and believe the impossible is possible and the support of my amazing parents (Mom a waitress/comedian (SusanDaleShow on social media) and my Dad on disablity/storm blogger (TornadoQuest on twitter) I’m doing just that. My mom and I started our own indie record label called EARTH MADE RECORDS even through we don’t have any money but together we can take raw gems and make them into stars.

This is my story:

One day in my 8th grade English class as I started to sit down in my assigned seat I saw written on the desk, “Anastasia Richardson is a Big B****,” and other hurtful words about me, which I can’t repeat, it covered the desk top. I didn’t know what I did to receive such a hateful message?

In a split second my happy-go-lucky mood changed to a silent inside cry … and then to embarrassment. Did anyone see this terrible note…? Seconds seemed to last for hours as I struggled in my mind… maybe I should erase this defacing of school property and the defacing of my heart… or … find out who did it and why. “This is wrong!!!”

The teacher was kind and helpful. She knew the girl who had earlier sat in the same spot. She did speak to the student. Even though the words were wiped away from the desk, they are still in my heart.

In 9th grade I was thrilled to be picked to be on the cheer leading team because I enjoyed tumbling. I could dance better than most and my gymnastic skills were equal with the others on the squad.

To prepare we were required to run three miles a day. As the days went by my knees started to hurt and the pain became over bearing. The doctor said that my knees and legs are growing at different rates and I needed to stop running and certain gymnastic tricks. The doctor’s note was given to the teacher, that’s when the teasing began. The cheer leading coach was indifferent to the teasing I was receiving. I didn’t understand why I was being teased? Other students on the squad had bad backs or weak ankles, they had notes from doctors but they were not teased. Why was I singled out? The whispers, my name was said and the giggles as I practiced the tricks I could do. One girl taunted me by saying “I don’t care about your knees. I want to see you do the back- hand-spring, which was one of the tricks the doctor told me not to do. “I don’t believe you can do it. Show me.” I would explain again and again but she wouldn’t stop. The teacher denied that she received my mother’s E-mails on this matter. Even on an overnight cheer trip I had to share a room with the main bully. I no longer wanted to be cheerleader and I didn’t even want to go to school.

It was a wonderful blessing when my band director ask me to again be part of the band. Since Cheer and Band meet during the same hour. At the varsity game he allowed me to stand on the side and play the songs with my clarinet. During the games I could sit with the band. I did not know the marching band formations but I felt part of the team. My band friends made me feel welcome and at the semester I changed back to band. High school was fun again.

My producer, Curt Ryle, inspired me to write my anti-bullying song “I AM BEAUTFUL” and to start my campaign to STOP THE BULLYING called, “No Not ME”.

My mission is to create music that inspire others like “I Am Beautiful”, “Broken Hearted” and “Where Would We Be” which I attached links below.

My Goals are simple:
1. Create music that inspires others 2. Share it with the world.

My dream’s to find someone or company that will help me tour my music with the world.

You can find more information on me on my website

and my music video

A part of my song, “I Am Beautiful” process are going to my anti-bullying campaign called, “No Not Me” I will not be bullied and I will not let others be bullied. Victims of bullies need a voice.

Thank you for taking the time reading my story and have a wonderful day. Hope to meet  you one day! 🙂

I think that you are an amazing talent, and its quite admirable that you are taking on subjects and sharing your story about important topics that the world needs to be reminded of..bullying is very prevalent, and it can destroy self-esteem in anyone that is a victim.
I congradulate you in being such a bright young woman, and am so proud that you are a friend of mine!
Keep it going..we are going to The Ellen Show together!!
