A Veterans’ Dream

01 Jun A Veterans’ Dream

Ever since I returned home from Iraq after 9 years of service to our country and 3 tours of duty life has been hard on my family & I. My sister has medical issues & our Mother is a Breast Cancer patient and we have been trapped in a 2 bedroom apartment that is in high crime drug infested area.

The building is unsafe & not handicap accessible for our Mother. We are in desperate need of a Single Family house. I am being held back from buying a home with my VA loan because of my credit score. My wish is that someone somehow could gift us a Home. I have seen other Veterans be given homes by charities & my family and I need this more than ever. If not, a bank that would work with me and allow me to use my VA loan to purchase the home we need.

The landlord of the building is threatening to evict us because he unfairly raised our rent & we are on borrowed time. I am hoping someone sees this & will contact me because we have reached out to all Local, State & Federal agencies that are supposed to help Veterans only to be turned away without help claiming we are not eligible. You have no idea what it feels like to feel like you have been abandoned & no one cares.

To come home & be treated like I’m invisible is so discouraging because when my service to our country was needed I never said no but now my family & I need help all we hear constantly from charities & agencies is “Sorry we can’t help you”. I am looking for a helping hand that will have an open heart to help my family & I in our time of need help.

Please help us. Yours truly, SPC CJ Murray Army & Army National Guard 2003-2012

Dear, I am personally spreading the word on twitter-please share this wish as well. Do you have any type of income to pay a rent? It seems impossible the government doesn’t help, they have to. Praying for you

    SPC CJ Murray,

As a disabled United States Navy Veteran who served 10 years for our country and a 2 time cancer survivor, I understand how you feel. I’ve been where you are and I’m sorry that our government is in such a state that they don’t help the Veterans that have returned from the war in all situations. And now they are even attempting to take away Veterans payment benefits for their disabilities incurred while serving in the Military, effect next year. Instead of looking at ways to fix the issues within the Veterans Administration itself.

The VA Loan is something you’re supposed to be able to use and get help with lenders. However when you look for someone to assist, theirs no one with knowledge.

Good luck and I will share this… praying the right person sees it.
God Bless you and your family

God bless you and thank you for your service. I will share this and hopefully prayers will be answered. Don’t give up — this trial is for a reason bigger than you or me. Stay strong and have faith. You answer will come at the right moment.

Many thanks for your service from one veteran to another. It’s very disconcerting to hear that no one seems to want to help you with your situation.
Perhaps contacting your states congressman or representative and explaining your issue will help put a spotlight on this and hopefully make some waves.
I wish you and your family the best. Hope this gets resolved soon.
